Our beloved country Bangladesh is predominantly a Muslim country with 90% Muslim population. Since our independence in 1971, the existing banking and financing policies of the country allowed a very few financial institutions with interest-free financial system. Most of the existing financial institutions, which are based on interest, provide loans to the able-handed people and tend to exclude the needy traders who need small amount of money for their small business. KAPOTAKKHA CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY LIMITED (KCSL) evolved with a view to alleviating poverty and providing an example of interest-free and co-operative-based financial institution.
As means of livelihood, the Omnipotent Allah (s.w.t.) made business legitimate, and interest illegitimate. The objective of KCSL is to devise legitimate means, prescribed by Allah, to earn livelihood. With that aim and objective in view, KCSL mobilized a number of experienced bankers, renowned economists, skilled professionals, veteran Board of Directors, and trained officials, and is committed to making you self-reliant with financial assistance.
Currently, the country's 80% resources are confined in the grip of a handful of capitalists. Consequently, the capital market is operated within this class of people. On the other hand, despite having merit and qualities, a great majority of people and small businessmen fail to run their businesses smoothly in the competitive market because of lack of capital. Under the exiting banking systems in Bangladesh , the small businessmen are deprived of the bank-loans or any financial assistance as they do not have sufficient jamanat. KCSL is working to help these needy businessmen and to make them self-reliant by providing small-loans with easy conditions and without any jamanat.
